Description: On July 25, 1923, Special Officer Holzer was shot when he ordered a hobo to get off of the box car where he was hiding and buy a ticket if he wanted to ride. The hobo responded by pulling a gun and shooting Officer Holzer three times. Officer Holzer was transported to the hospital where he died of his injuries a month later on August 21, 1923.
