Description: On May 16, 1906, Police Officer Harris was on patrol driving the department wagon when his horse shied and threw him to the ground. Officer Harris sustained a compound fracture of the arm and internal injuries. Officer Harris died six months later on November 19, 1906 during his third operation to treat his injuries.
