Description: Constable Hood and Deputy Louis Harvill were shot and killed while on patrol. The two officers walked over to investigate two cars that were parked oddly across from a dancehall they were monitoring. As the officers passed between the two cars, shots were fired from a passenger hiding in one of the cars. Both officers were shot. Deputy Sheriff Harvill died at the scene. Constable Hood succumbed to his injuries 5 days later.
