Description: Patrolmen Hanson and John Cosgrove were struck by a train as they searched for a gang of thieves in the New Jersey Central train yard. They stepped out of the way of an oncoming train onto another track. Unfortunately, they failed to notice that a train was also approaching from behind on the second track. Both men were struck and killed.
