Description: Officer Humphrey was attempting to stop a suspect for a speeding violation when his motorcycle was struck head-on by a passing motorist. Officer Humphrey was thrown several feet from the road and suffered a fracture at the base of his skull, a fractured right leg and severe internal injuries. Officer Humphrey was transported to a local hospital where he remained in a coma until his death four days later.
