Description: Sheriff Harris was shot when he went to the home of a suspect who had resisted earlier efforts by law enforcement officers to seize property in order to satisfy a court judgement. As Sheriff Harris stepped into the house, he was shot in the face and died at the scene. Shots were exchanged between the men in the house and a posse of law enforcement officers which resulted in the death of one suspect and the arrest of two others.
