Description: Jailer Hall was shot when he let an inmate out of his cell to write a letter. When the inmate emerged from the cell he ran, grabbed a gun and threatened to kill anyone who followed him. Jailer Hall was in pursuit when the inmate turned and fired, fatally shooting Jailer Hall in the abdomen. The inmate escaped from the county jail and was not apprehended.
