Description: Patrolman Infantes was beaten by two suspects while attending a neighborhood Fourth of July celebration. The suspects were setting off illegal fireworks and Officer Infantes, who was attending a social gathering next door, identified himself as a police officer and asked them to stop. The two suspects (brothers) struck Officer Infantes and another man with a four-foot long metal pipe. Patrolman Infantes was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries two days later.
