Description: Patrolman Irvin was traveling west on Irvington Avenue when his motorcycle and an automobile collided. Patrolman Irvin was thrown nearly 50 feet by the impact. Patrolman Irvin was taken to the Hospital Center at Orange where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Detectives were unable to determine how the accident occurred.
