Description: Deputy Ives was struck and killed by a motorist who ran a red light. Deputy Ives was passing through the intersection in Rancho Cucamonga when the driver of an SUV sped through the intersection. The driver was traveling at approximately 50 miles per hour when he struck Deputy Ives' department motorcycle. Deputy Ives was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
