Description: City Marshal Johnston was shot when he arrested a man for committing an obscene act in public. As Marshal Johnston escorted the man to the patrol car, the man pulled out a handgun and shot him in the chest. Marshal Johnston was able to return fire and kill his assailant. Marshal Johnston died at the hospital several hours later.
