Description: Sheriff Jones died of a heart attack while attempting to arrest two suspects who were disturbing the peace. Shots were exchanged between the two suspects and Sheriff Jones, Jailer Frank Cole and Undersheriff Roland Green. Jailer Cole arrested one suspect while Sheriff Jones and Undersheriff Green pursued the second suspect in a high-speed chase. Undersheriff Green was driving the vehicle when Sheriff Jones cried out and slumped over. All efforts to revive Sheriff Jones failed.
