Description: Police Officer Jones died as a result of being shot by a probationer while accompanying a probation officer to a meeting. During the contact with the probationer, a physical struggle ensued. The probationer produced a weapon and shot Officer Jones. Officer Jones was transported to a nearby hospital where he died several hours later. The probationer fled the scene and was later shot and wounded by law enforcement officers.
