Description: Policeman Johnson, along with Chief Jesse George, were about to arrest a man for drinking in public when the man suddenly whipped out a pistol and fired, striking the Chief in the arm and Johnson in the arm and chest. The Chief in turn shot the drunkard, killing him. Charlie Johnson died on the way to the hospital. The Chief recovered from his wound.
