Description: Officer James was shot and killed while working a uniformed security job. Four other officers were also assigned to work at the club for crowd control. Two officers had broken up a fight inside the club. As they escorted one of the patrons outside, the suspect pulled out a handgun and began shooting. Officer James was shot and was transported to a local hospital where he died of his injuries. Officer Clarence Lockett was also shot in this incident. He was treated and released from the Parkland Hospital.
