Description: Deputy Johnson was escorting a funeral procession when he was struck head on by an impatient driver. Deputy Johnson had directed three cars away form the funeral procession when the third vehicle suddenly swerved into the middle of the road and struck him. The head on collision caused him to flip into the windshield and over the top of the truck. The impact of the accident knocked Deputy Johnson's helmet and gun belt off. He died approximately two hours later at a local hospital.
