Description: Sergeant Johnson and Chief of Police Michael Peltz were both shot in an exchange of gunfire as they attempted to arrest an armed suspect who had barricaded himself inside his residence. Sergeant Johnson died at the scene. Chief Peltz died of his injuries two days later. Patrolman Matt Barto and Sergeant Edward Bollinger were also wounded but survived. The suspect was killed in an exchange of gunfire with officers.
