Description: Trooper Johnston died of heat exhaustion while participating in department ability and agility training. Trooper Johnston had completed the minimum of 22 push-ups within 1 minute, 25 sit-ups within 1 minute, and a 1?-mile run within 15 minutes. After completing the run, Trooper Johnston became disoriented and collapsed. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead of hyperthermia (heat exhaustion). Trooper Johnston is the son of Livonia Police Officer Ervin Johnston I whose name is located on Panel 7-E: 27.
