Description: Guard Jones was on duty at the Oklahoma State Reformatory in Granite, Oklahoma when two inmates initiated their escape plans. Guard Jones was shot and killed as the prisoners entered into the guard station. A total of 32 prisoners participated in the mass escape and all were eventually arrested. Five inmates were convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
