Description: Officer Jackson was shot and killed by an escaped mental patient. The suspect was leading officers on a vehicle pursuit when he suddenly stopped, with Officer Jackson stopping directly behind him. As Officer Jackson exited his patrol the suspect opened fire from within his vehicle, fatally wounding the officer. Other officers returned fire and killed the suspect.
