Description: Police Officer Joering and Police Officer Anthony Morelli were shot when they arrived at the scene to investigate a 911 hang-up call. Despite their wounds, the officers were able to return fire and wounded the suspect. Officer Joering died at the scene and Officer Anthony Morelli was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The suspect was charged with two counts of capital murder of a law enforcement officer.
