Description: On November 13, 1971, Patrolman Johansen performed life-saving mouth-to-mouth resuscitation on an individual who was later diagnosed with hepatitis. Due to that encounter, Patrolman Johansen contracted hepatitis and was placed on sick leave until he was medically retired in 1974. Patrolman Johansen died of liver failure due to hepatitis on June 28, 1977.
