Description: Officer Johnson thought it unusual that a Sheriff's deputy would be standing outside his car in a city park and went to investigate. Before he could reach the car, Officer Johnson was shot several times. The "deputy" jumped in the patrol car and drove away. The "deputy" was a 16 yr. old juvenile, whose father was a county sheriff. He had stolen his father's car, uniform and gun and went for a joy ride. He confessed that he shot the officer because he didn't want to get caught. He was convicted of second degree murder and given 15 years to life.
