Description: Officer Johnson was shot and killed while attempting to serve commitment papers on a mentally ill suspect. When the officers arrived, the suspect opened fire with two high-caliber handguns. Officer Johnson was shot in the head as she entered the residence first. The suspect then stood over her, and emptied his weapon. Officer Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene. Officer Turner was admitted to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
