Description: Chief Jones was shot to death during a jailbreak by "three notorious outlaws" after pistols were smuggled into the jail, which the trio used to overpower the jailer. Once outside, a disturbance over commandeering a wagon brought Chief Jones, and a gun battle erupted. Chief jones was shot to death while other policemen and citizens returned fire, which killed one, while the other two escaped and were never brought to justice.
