Description: K-9 Officer Jones was shot and killed while executing a drug raid in Prentiss, Mississippi. The officers were attempting to serve a search warrant at a local residence suspected of drug involvement. Officer Jones was the first of eight officers to enter the home. He was shot fatally in the abdomen below his bullet proof vest. His assailant was convicted of murder and sentenced to be executed.
