Description: Sheriff Tyler and Deputy Samuel Jenkins were part of a posse in search of a gang of cattle rustlers. Sheriff Tyler and Deputy Jenkins approached a camp unarmed that they believed to be Indians but turned out to be that of the outlaws. Both lawmen were shot in the back as they attempted to flee the camp and alert the rest of the posse.
