Description: Deputy Jones was shot and killed while attempting to arrest a several suspects wanted for several Texas bank robberies and the murders of several Texas lawmen. Deputy Jones and a posse were on the trail of the suspects when they were ambushed by the suspects. Deputy Jones was shot and killed. One of the suspects was shot. The other suspect escaped but was eventually apprehended, extradited to Texas and executed. The suspects were also involved in the murders of Sheriff John Mosley, Deputy Sheriff Joseph Brown, Deputy Harvey Bolin.
