Description: City Marshal James and Assistant Marshal Joe Hartman arrested an intoxicated man for disorderly conduct and took him to City Hall. The man struck Marshal James over the head and escaped. The man returned with a .12 gauge shotgun and fatally shot both City Marshal James and Assistant Marshal Joe Hartman.
