Description: Deputy Jones and a civilian who was participating in a ride along were ambushed by two suspects who held a grudge against law enforcement authorities. Deputy Jones was attempting to serve the suspects with felony warrants for aggravated assault when the suspects opened fire on the police cruiser as it pulled into the driveway. Deputy Jones and the civilian were shot more than 40 times and both were pronounced dead at the scene.
