Description: City Marshal Jones was shot when he went into a residence to arrest a suspect wanted for disturbing the peace and threatening to kill several citizens. Marshal Jones ordered the suspect to come out of the house. When the suspect refused to comply, Marshal Jones entered the residence and was shot by the suspect as he ascended the stairs. Marshal Jones died of his injuries the next day.
