Description: Police Officer Kasbaum was shot after he stopped a vehicle reported as stolen. Officer Kasbaum got off of his patrol motorcycle and sat in the back seat of the vehicle to escort the two suspects to the station. One of the suspects pulled a handgun and shot Officer Kasbaum four times. Officer Kasbaum returned fire and wounded one of the suspects and died at the scene. His assailant fled and committed suicide. The second suspect was taken into custody.
