Description: Sheriff Keith was mortally wounded as he attempted to arrest a murder suspect. Although Sheriff Keith was shot in the abdomen, he was able to make the arrest and escort the suspect to jail. Sheriff Keith succumbed to his injuries five days later. The suspect was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
