Description: Patrolman Kraatz and three other officers answered a disturbance call regarding a man firing a gun in a hallway. The officers arrived at the scene and ordered the man to drop the weapon. The man shot at the officers, striking Patrolman Kraatz in the right shoulder, stomach and hip. The suspect was killed by the lawmen. Patrolman Kraatz was rushed to the hospital where he died the next day.
