Description: Officer Knox and his partner Officer Anthony Howard, responded to a radio call of a holdup in progress inside a Roy Rogers restaurant. The officers became involved in a struggle with the suspects. Officer Knox was shot in the head and back. Officer Howard, who was shot in the right shoulder, survived his injuries. Officer Knox was transported to the hospital where he died shortly after arrival. The suspects, who were brothers, were found guilty of first and second degree murder, respectively. Both received life sentences.
