Description: Sergeant Kinterknecht was shot and killed while investigating a domestic disturbance call. Sergeant Kinterknecht and two other officers were entering a garage where a suspect had barricaded himself when the suspect opened fire. All three officers were transported to the hospital. Sergeant Kinterknecht succumbed to his injuries; the other two officers survived the incident. The suspect died at the scene of the crime.
