Description: Patrolman Kotecki was shot and killed while attempting to arrest a suspect with outstanding felony warrants. Patrolman Kotecki was the first officer to arrive at the scene where the suspect was located. As Patrolman Kotecki exited his vehicle, the suspect opened fire on him from a hidden location. After shooting Patrolman Kotecki, the suspect shot and killed himself. Patrolman Kotecki died at the scene.
