Description: Officer Kontner was shot and killed by a suspect who had run from officers previously. Officer Kontner and his partner were on patrol when they approached three men. Officer Kontner and his partner were forced to chase the men as they fled the scene when approached by the officers. One of the suspects managed to hold Officer Kontner's partner at gunpoint in a parking lot and steal his service weapon. Officer Kontner ran into the parking lot and chased the suspect but was shot. The suspect was shot and killed by gunfire from other officers.
