Description: Trooper Kubasiak was shot when he answered a domestic disturbance call where the suspect was threatening to kill his mother. Trooper Kubasiak was shot multiple times when he entered the residence with his K9, Donovan. Trooper Kubasiak was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The suspect, who was known to Trooper Kubasiak and had a history of mental illness, was convicted of murder and sentenced to 35 years to life in prison.
