Description: Deputy Constable Kirk was shot in a gun fight that took place during an attempted train robbery. A group of bandits were attempting to rob a train but the train crew produced guns and returned fire. Deputy Kirk and another officer responded to the gun shots and became involved in the gun battle. Deputy Kirk was shot in the head and died at the scene.
