Description: Policeman Kaepernick was accidentally shot and killed by a guard at the Faribault jail. Because of the recent jailing of two notorious bank robbers and accomplices of Jesse James, police officers were told not to approach the jail without calling first. Policeman Kaepernick did not receive that message. As he approached the guard station and attempted to present his badge, he was shot by the guard. (friendly fire)
