Description: Officer Knapp was killed in an automobile accident while en route to the Sheriff's Office. Officer Knapp had stopped at an intersection when his patrol vehicle was rear-ended by a semi-tractor trailer. Officer Knapp was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Low visibility and a slick roadway were contributing factors in this incident.
