Description: Deputy Sheriff Kent, Officer Williams, and Officer Melon were investigating three brothers who were wanted for stealing horses. The officers were invited into the suspects home to question the brothers. While talking to one of the suspects, someone fired several shots from the adjoining room, killing Deputy Kent immediately. Officer Williams was wounded in this incident.
