Description: Policeman Kane was shot by two suspects in the commission of a robbery. The suspects fled but were tracked down and confronted by police in Middleboro, Massachusetts two weeks later. During the ensuing gun battle one suspect was shot to death and the other suspect was captured. He was found guilty of 1st degree murder and sentenced to death.
