Description: On March 5, 1885, Deputy Kohl responded to a request to remove a suspect who was drunk and shooting his revolver in an open crowd. Deputy Kohl located the suspect, disarmed him and told him to leave town. The suspect agreed to leave but asked if he could have his firearm back. When it was returned to him, he shot Deputy Kohl, who died four days later.
