Description: On August 8,1943, Officer Kohler was injured in a vehicle accident. Officer Kohler was helping an injured three year old child to the hospital following a traffic accident. The police car collided with another vehicle at 9th and Spruce. Officer Kohler died of his injuries four days later at the hospital.
