Description: Deputy U.S. Marshal Keith was shot, in an exchange of gunfire, as he attempted to arrest a KKK suspect on a federal warrant in Yancey County, North Carolina. Deputy Keith was shot in the lower abdomen and died shortly after. The wounded suspect was taken into custody but escaped.
