Description: Deputy Sheriff Keller was supervising a 19 man inmate work crew when he was attacked by one of the inmates. The inmate called Deputy Keller to inspect his work and when Deputy Keller bent over, the inmate struck him in the head with a pickaxe. Deputy Keller died several hours later. The inmate was convicted of the murder and sentenced to 99 years in prison.
