Description: Constable King was fatally shot when he and a posse attempted to arrest a desperado. When Constable King looked under the house where the suspect was hiding, he was shot in the head and died at the scene. Two other deputies were also shot but survived. The barricaded suspect was killed in the burning house by a fire that was set by the posse.
