Description: Detectives Knight and Lester Davis were shot at the B&O rail yard in Dayton, Ohio after they ordered three men out of a boxcar. As the suspects exited the box car, one of them drew a gun and began shooting. Detective Knight was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the head and died several hours later. Detective Davis survived his injury. The three suspects were taken into custody.
